Product description Tea Set Phu Yen
With the Phu Yen tea set, you can easily prepare tea for a relaxed gathering with family or friends. The round 650 ml teapot features a tall bamboo handle and six small cups, making it easy to share your brew among multiple people. The light-colored ceramic is complemented by a delicate dark dragonfly motif.
Vietnamese origin and appearance
The Phu Yen tea set comes from Vietnam, where the pottery tradition runs deep and drinking tea is part of everyday life. That's exactly why Vietnamese tea sets are crafted with comfort and ease of use in mind, making the act of serving tea a truly uninterrupted, mindful experience. The teapot has a round, pleasantly full body with a tall arched bamboo handle. The surface of both the teapot and cups is light, creamy white, decorated with a dark dragonfly pattern. The cups are small and handleless – a shape that's very popular for serving tea throughout Asia.
What's included in the set?
- 650 ml ceramic teapot
- Six small ceramic cups
- Coarse built-in strainer at the spout opening
The 650 ml teapot is well suited for brewing and serving larger amounts of tea to share. You can pour the brew into six small cups, and for teas that lend themselves to multiple steepings, simply brew another round afterward.
If you brew a full pot and the entire brew doesn't fit into the cups at once, it's a good idea to pour the remaining tea into a separate serving vessel once steeping is complete. This prevents the leaves from sitting in the finished brew for too long.
The coarse strainer built into the spout opening will catch larger tea leaves as you pour. It's not a removable insert, so the leaves have plenty of room to fully unfurl inside the teapot during steeping. With very finely broken teas, some small particles may pass through the strainer.
This teapot works great for oolongs, white and black teas, whole-leaf green teas, or pu-erhs. Always follow the recommended water temperature and steeping time for the specific tea you're preparing.
Our tip – how to re-steep your tea
Once steeping is done, pour out the entire brew from the teapot so the leaves don't sit in the water. Then pour fresh water at the appropriate temperature for your tea back over the leaves.
With each subsequent steep, pay attention to the flavor and adjust the steeping time as needed. Many loose-leaf teas can be steeped multiple times, and each new steep can bring out a slightly different flavor profile.
Take a quiet moment for a tea ritual and discover the beauty of slowing down to prepare and enjoy your tea.
