Hand Tied Teas

A spell that transforms a small ball of leaves into a beautiful tea fairy. Bound teas originate from the Chinese provinces, where they are made from select, uniformly elongated leaves of the Chinese tea tree. The tea leaves are harvested early in the morning and hand-bound while still fresh into their future form. If a flower (most commonly jasmine, lily, osmanthus) is also bound in the preparation, these teas are referred to as flowering teas.

Flowers in flowering teas suitably complement the aroma of the infusion, but have no significant effects on human health. All the beneficial effects of both bound and flowering teas come directly from the tea leaves. Bound and flowering teas are made from white or green tea leaves, so care must be taken to ensure that the recommended infusion temperature is maintained, i.e. no more than 90 °C. Depending on the quality and complexity of the weave, a bound or flowering tea will develop within 3-10 minutes. During this time the tea liquor is prepared.

Bound or flowering teas are strong enough for a large number of additional infusions, i.e. they can be watered for as long as they are palatable. The main charm of bound and flowering teas lies in the visual effect that occurs after unrolling. In addition to these magical teas, we have also prepared black teas, oolongs, mate and many other types of teas.
