Tibet is a mountainous country with harsh natural conditions. On the seemingly barren mountain slopes and foothills grow plants and woody plants with great medicinal potential. The herbs are carefully collected and rolled into fragrant strings (dhupaya) or scented sticks according to ancient Ayurvedic recipes. Nepalese and Tibetan incense sticks are very different from Indian or Japanese ones, with a coarse texture, greater thickness, and a strong spicy earthy aroma when burnt, reminiscent of the harsh highland life.
Tibetan Incense
Due to the situation in Tibet, all Tibetan sticks are made by Tibetan refugees mainly in Nepal or India, from a mixture of herbs and woods, without the use of any chemical additives. Tibetan incense sticks thus have excellent purifying effects and high aromatherapeutic potential. Inhaling their scents has a positive effect on a wide range of physical and mental ailments. We offer nearly 100 varieties of Tibetan and Nepalese incense sticks for meditation, harmonization, calming and therapeutic use.
