Product description Tibetan Incense Sticks Bodhileaf Samantabha
Bodhileaf Tibetan incense sticks are handcrafted in Nepal using traditional methods, with aromatic herbs, woods, and resins. Each of the six scents is dedicated to a significant figure in the Buddhist tradition and bears their name.
The sticks are wrapped in traditional Nepali lokta paper, made from the fibers of Daphne shrubs. Each package features a real leaf from the sacred Bodhi tree – the fig tree under which the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment.
Samantabhadra – the Primordial Buddha
Samantabhadra holds a unique place in Tibetan Buddhism as the Primordial Buddha, a symbol of original purity and enlightened mind. He is typically depicted in a deep blue color, representing the infinite nature of consciousness. Bodhileaf Samantabha carries the scent of juniper – the aromatic branches of this shrub have been burned for centuries in Himalayan regions during Buddhist ceremonies as a fragrant offering. The scent is fresh and coniferous, with a woody base and a subtly resinous, lightly spiced undertone.
