Product description Tibetan Incense Sticks Tibetan Mahakala
Tibetan incense sticks are handcrafted in Nepal from blends of aromatic woods, mountain herbs, spices, and resins. Their formulas follow the Tibetan tradition of incense burning, which remains part of Buddhist ceremonies and everyday life to this day.
Mahakala is one of the most important protective deities in Tibetan Buddhism – associated with the protection of the dharma and overcoming obstacles. The foundation of the fragrance is Himalayan rhododendron anthopogon, also known as sunpati, whose aroma is fresh, herbal, and gently resinous. A more pronounced spicy character with a light camphor note is added by titepati mugwort, traditionally used in Nepali incense burning. The formula is completed by a traditional Himalayan ingredient, Ghaten Khampa.
