Product description Tea Set Jin Ma
The Jin Ma tea set is a great pick for anyone who loves the classic blue-and-white color combination and rich ornamental patterns on their teaware. The 350 ml teapot sits comfortably in your hand, and with the removable infuser basket you have full control over steeping — once the tea reaches your desired strength, simply lift out the infuser with the leaves and the finished brew stays in the pot without getting any stronger.
Chinese ceramics and the tea tradition
Tea culture gained widespread popularity in China during the Tang dynasty (618–907), and during the Ming dynasty (1368–1644) the practice of steeping dried tea leaves in a pot became the standard way of preparation. This long tradition has naturally shaped teaware designed for comfortable steeping, pouring, and communal serving.
Jin Ma is a ceramic set featuring the classic blue-and-white decoration. The pattern is consistent across all pieces in the set, so the teapot and cups look naturally coordinated on the table.
What's included in the set?
- 350 ml ceramic teapot
- Six small ceramic cups
- Removable loose-leaf infuser basket
The 350 ml teapot is ideal for sharing tea and serving in smaller portions. The rounded shape with a classic side handle feels natural in the hand, and the six small handleless cups complement the teapot both visually and when serving.
The removable infuser basket makes it easy to stop steeping whenever you're ready.
Our tip – how to brew loose-leaf tea with a removable infuser
Place the amount of loose-leaf tea appropriate for the type of tea and volume of water you're preparing into the removable infuser basket. Insert the infuser into the teapot, add water at the temperature recommended for that particular tea, and steep for the suggested amount of time.
Once the tea is ready, remove the infuser along with the tea leaves from the pot. This stops the steeping process and the finished brew can stay in the teapot without continuing to strengthen. Then gradually pour it into the small cups.
If the tea is suitable for multiple steepings, you can place the infuser with the leaves back into the teapot later and brew another round with fresh water. For each subsequent steeping, follow the characteristics of that particular tea and adjust the steeping time to taste.
Take a quiet moment for a tea ritual and discover the beauty of slowing down to prepare and enjoy your tea.
