Product description Tibetan Incense Sticks Traditional Tashi Dhargey
Tashi Dhargey is a Tibetan name associated with happiness, prosperity, and flourishing. These traditional incense sticks share that same name and are handcrafted in Nepal from a blend of Himalayan herbs and aromatic resins, following Tibetan traditions of incense burning used in meditation and spiritual ceremonies.
Their scent is warm, balsamic, and gently sweet – a classic amber fragrance character enriched with herbal notes from Himalayan aromatic plants. Overall, it's a rich oriental scent well suited for meditation, relaxation, and peaceful evenings at home.
What does Traditional Tashi Dhargey offer?
- Amber scent with Himalayan herbs – warm, gently sweet aroma with balsamic, resinous, and herbal notes.
- Traditional masala method – aromatic herbs, flowers, spices, and resins are blended directly into the incense paste, from which the sticks are hand-rolled. No bamboo core.
- Handcrafted in Nepal – every stick is made by hand following traditional Tibetan methods.
- A name with auspicious symbolism – the words Tashi and Dhargey refer in Tibetan to good fortune, luck, and prosperity. Tashi appears, for example, in the greeting Tashi Delek, which is used to wish someone all good things.

Traditional origins and use
These incense sticks are produced in Nepal using Tibetan recipes. The masala method involves blending all aromatic ingredients – natural resins, flowers, spices, and Himalayan herbs – into a unified incense paste, from which the sticks are hand-rolled and then dried. Prepared this way, the sticks have traditionally been used by Buddhist monks during puja as an aromatic offering, during meditation, or for symbolic ritual purification of a space through fumigation. Of course, they can also simply be used to fill your home with a beautiful fragrance.
How to use incense sticks?
- Light the tip of the stick and let it glow for a moment.
- Extinguish the flame with a quick wave of your hand.
- Place the stick in a dedicated incense holder or insert it into sand.
- Once the stick has finished burning, ventilate the room.
