The upper "functional" part of the bowl is coated with a special glaze, developed in accordance with traditional Russian ceramics. This allows the bowl to retain its properties and luxurious appearance for a longer period and prevents excessive absorption of molasses into the bowl.

The hat-shaped protrusion right in the center of the bowl not only prevents tobacco from falling through the bowl into the pipe but also directs the airflow right through the tobacco fill.
