Iwachu Cast Iron Teapots: Japanese-Style Tea Rituals
Traditional Craftsmanship from Morioka, Japan
Japanese cast iron teapots by Iwachu are crafted in Morioka, a region world-renowned for its traditional Nanbu Tekki (Nanbu ironware) production. The Iwachu family-run company carries on a legacy of craftsmanship dating back more than 400 years. They create teaware that is beautiful to behold, delightful to use, and, with proper care, destined to last for generations.
Design Inspired by Japan
The design of the Iwachu Kanbin teapot is inspired by traditional Japanese vessels originally used for heating sake. Its surface features the iconic arare (hailstone) pattern—a fine, textured finish distinctive to authentic Nanbu Tekki cast ironware. With its compact 350 ml capacity, this teapot is perfectly suited for smaller infusions and intimate tea sessions.
