Hamsa Hand

Hamsa, Fátimina Hand or Marie Hand. The symbol of the protective hand is often referred to as the hand of Miriam, sister of Moses, in the Jewish faith, and as the hand of Fatima, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad, in the Islamic faith. Its origins can be traced back to ancient Mesopotamia to the goddess Ishtar, queen of the heavens and patron of love and beauty.
