Rice ash is the perfect filler for censers and bowls used for burning incense sticks. It acts as a base and insulating layer preventing excessive overheating and damage to the vessel.  It also allows the incense sticks to burn without leaving any residue.

Use: Pour the sand into the vessel. If you want to save the amount of ash, put a layer of sand first and then a layer of ash on top. Place a stick or an incense powder. After burning, there is no need to remove the ash from the stick, simply align it with the rice ash. You can continue this way for some time without the need to replace it with new ash.
