Silver Pendant Phurba Ritual Dagger

In ancient Buddhist meditation rituals, the symbolic Phurba dagger was used in the shape of three blades joined to form a blunt point. This dagger was used to kill the enemy in a symbolic sense. Its purpose is to combat negative emotions, evil spirits and other material and immaterial entities that lead us astray from the path of wisdom leading to enlightenment. In doing so, the spirit is not killed, but released to find the path to enlightenment on its own.
