It can often be found on the rings of medieval ecclesiastical dignitaries, symbolizing inner purity. In our region, it is a relatively common mineral with several known deposits. Its craftsmanship can be admired in the chapel cladding at Karlštejn Castle and in the Czech coronation jewels themselves.
