Magical Mystery - A Space Odyssey chime was inspired by the famous melody of the first notes of Richard Strauss's Symphonic poem Thus Spake Zarathustra, more commonly known as the soundtrack to the film A Space Odyssey. The chime was designed and handcrafted to produce the purest sound possible. Thus, with every gust of wind, its melodic tones resound in a unique ethereal symphony.

Magical Mystery - A Space Odyssey belongs to the series of chimes called Magical Mystery, which play a unique melody thanks to a special tuning. This tuning is based on a musical phenomenon called parallel harmony or doubling the octave. Simply put, each note appears again, just an octave higher. The sound of this particular chime is stunning because of the harmony that is created as the same notes are added to the two fundamental notes four times, each time an octave higher. This gives the chime a new range and a whole new dimension to the sound.
