The art of incense burning has accompanied humanity since time immemorial. As one of the oldest forms of aromatherapy, it uses the natural scents and energies of herbs, rare woods, and resins, which are released through heat and smoke. The classic method of incense burning is to burn resins and loose incense on hot charcoal placed in a censer. It is also possible to pour the incense onto a sieve, under which a tea candle. Using an incence sticks or smudge sticks and feathers, or a fan, the smoke can be dispersed to specific places.
