Incense Burner Fillings

The filling for incense burners and scented stick stands serves as a base layer for fixing the stick to the stand and as an insulating layer in incense burners, on which the carbon for burning scented mixtures is laid. It protects the container from damage or excessive heat, while allowing the incense stick to burn completely. Fine marble sand or rice ash is commonly used as a standard filling.
