The mildly stimulating effect and long-lasting aroma are among the many qualities of this blend. It is sipped from a traditional calabash container with a metal or bamboo straw with a strainer - a bombil. It is also good sweetened or flavored with milk.

Mate - crushed leaves of the Paraguayan holly, which grows in South American countries. Because maté does not contain the leaves of the tea plant, this drink does not need to be strained after pouring - in fact, it does not become bitter as the steeping time increases. It is commonly recommended to pour 80°C water over maté, but it is also possible to pour cold water over it (with the proviso that it is left to stand longer in the fridge - ice maté), and the drink is topped up as needed, as long as it tastes good.
