The Eye of Horus

The origins of this symbol lie in the Egyptian myth of Seth and Osiris. According to legend, Osiris ruled Egypt. But Seth envied his brother's power. He murdered him so he could rule himself. Horus, who was Osiris's son, fought a battle with Seth in which Seth tore out his eye and tore it into six pieces. Yet in the end, Seth was defeated and Horus got his eye back. It is from this legend that the symbol of the Eye of Horus was created, which is also often depicted as being composed of six parts.

The Eye of Horus is a symbol of strength and health, but also of wisdom and foresight. As an amulet, it provides not only strength and health, but also protection from the adversity of men and gods.
