Product description Herbal Tea Mate Green 75 g Canister
Green maté (Yerba maté) is one of the most commonly sipped beverages in Latin America, where it is also grown (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile). Green maté, a typical drink of the Paraguayan Indians, is valued mainly for its strong, long-lasting stimulating effects. It is sipped from a special Kalabasa container using a Bombilla tube.
The tea is stored in a container that prevents access to air, light and moisture. The tea in the dosa remains protected from the elements so that it does not degrade, such as becoming damp, wilted or weathered.

Recommended preparation of 0.5 litres of tea:
first infusion - pour 10 - 40 g of tea in about 80 °C boiled water into a calabash.
second infusion - pour in about 85 °C boiled water into a calabash.
Mate - crushed leaves of the Paraguayan holly, which grows in South American countries. Since maté does not contain the leaves of the tea plant, this drink does not need to be strained after pouring - in fact, it does not become bitter as the steeping time increases. It is commonly recommended to pour 80 °C water over the maté, but it is also possible to pour cold water over it (with the proviso that it is left to stand longer in the fridge - ice maté), and the drink is topped up as needed, as long as it tastes good.
